Lucknow/Bhubaneswar: On Thursday, the body of a 27-year-old woman from Odisha was discovered in the back seat of a car in Lucknow's Vrindavan Colony neighborhood.

Her identity was determined after police unlocked one of the two phones found on the scene. "She is a Bhubaneswar resident." "Her family members told police she was in Lucknow looking for work and they had lost contact with her," ACP Cantonment Abhinav Kumar was quoted in the media as saying.

Her parents are expected to arrive in Lucknow on Friday, according to police.

According to reports, some boys spotted the body in the thickets near an overhead water tank in sector 19 of Vrindavan Colony, with foam oozing from the mouth, as they approached the car to fetch their cricket ball. There was no external injury to her body, and her clothing was undamaged.

The owner of the car has also been identified by police, but his phone was found to be turned off. "Two teams have been formed to solve the case and ascertain the cause of the woman's death," the ACP stated.

According to the reports, the FSL team claimed that a 'drug overdose' was the cause of death. A Kanpur man who was allegedly with the girl has also gone missing. His phone and documents were discovered in the vehicle, according to the report.
