Nuapada: An ambulance carrying a patient rammed a divider at Bireskela under Boden police limits in Odisha's Nuapada district early Tuesday, one patient died and three others were seriously injured.
Janak Manahira of Dharanimala village has been identified as the victim.
According to sources, the accident occurred as they were driving home after being released from a private hospital in Raipur. Janak died on the spot, while his two passengers and the driver were critically injured in the crash and were rushed to Boden's community health center for treatment by locals.
The ambulance was seized by police, and the body was taken to the district headquarters hospital for a postmortem. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
