Cuttack: Well-known Senior Congress leader and senior vice-president of Cuttack Sadar Vichara Mancha Kishore Jena passes away due to a heart attack while undergoing treatment at Cuttack (SCB) Medical College and Hospital Saturday morning. He was 82. He was well-known as a philanthropist and social worker.
He held various positions in the Cuttack District and Block Congress Committees and performed many essential responsibilities. He was always active till the end of his death. He was admitted to the Cuttack SCB Hospital due to sudden pain in his chest on Friday night. He died of a heart attack while undergoing treatment there.
His death cast a shadow of mourning in the entire Cuttack district. Many senior leaders have expressed grief over Kishore's demise.
Cuttack District Congress Committee President Manas Choudhury, Vice President Manas Pradhan, Block President Ramachandra Gochhayat, Former President Pratap Mallik, Former PCC Editor Dillip Mohanty, President of Cuttack Sadar Vichara Mancha Bishnu Charan Behera, Senior Congress Leader Kangali Charan Behera and many more prominent personalities expressed their condolences.
