Six students from a government-run primary school in Balasore district fell ill after eating a mid-day meal on Saturday. The incident occurred at Banisia UP School in the Kedarpur panchayat area of the district’s Soro block. The meal, which included rice with egg curry, was served to 35 students. However, six students from classes 4 and 5 complained of uneasiness and chest pain after consuming the meal. Upon noticing this, the teachers and some school committee members promptly took them to the nearby Soro hospital in an ambulance. Following treatment, the students were discharged and sent back to their homes.
