Bhubaneswar: The temperature in Kandhamal district of Odisha dropped to 5.4 degrees Celsius in G Udayagiri on Tuesday, followed by Phulbani and Similiguda in Koraput at 7.5 degrees Celsius apiece, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
With a cold wave sweeping the state, 11 locations reported nighttime temperatures of 10 degrees Celsius or lower.

Similiguda (Koraput): 7.5°C
Koraput: 8°C
Keonjhar: 8.4°C
Sundargarh: 9°C
Kirei: 9°C
Jharsuguda: 9.6°C
Bhawanipatna: 10°C
Daringbadi: 10°C
Chiplima (Sambalpur): 10°C
Bhubaneswar and Cuttack registered 13.6 degrees Celsius and 13.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Phulbani, Angul, Bhawanipatna, and Cuttack also saw light to moderate fog.
According to IMD, the minimum temperature (night temperature) will not fluctuate significantly during the next 4-5 days. Cold winds from North India and a shift in the wind pattern have contributed to the temperature dip.
