Balasore: On Wednesday, two buses collided head-on on the Tamulia overbridge in Odisha's Balasore district, injuring at least 16 people.

According to sources, the accident involved two private buses. While one was traveling from Balasore to Baripada, the other was traveling from Bhubaneswar to Balasore. The injured have been taken to the district headquarters hospital in this city.

Police arrived on the scene and began an investigation after being notified.

Notably, 12 passengers were killed and eight were injured after an OSRTC bus collided head-on with a mini private bus near Moulabhanja Square in Ganjam district late on June 25.
