Bhubaneswar: Following the Election Commission's proposal, more than 2.20 crore of the 3.25 crore voters in Odisha have already connected their voter ID with Aadhaar, according to official statistics.

According to the office of the state's chief electoral officer, the ability granted by the Election Commission of India to integrate Voter Id with Aadhaar will aid in the production of an error-free voter list (CEO).

"We are delighted to announce that, as of 13.09.2022, 2.20 crore voters in Odisha have already linked their voter ID with Aadhaar," the statement stated.

It added that voters could link their voter ID with Aadhaar by downloading the Voter Helpline App from the Google Play Store and completing the Form-6B that is available in it or by completing the same Form-6B that is available in the www.nvsp.in portal. "Thus, we request all the remaining voters to link their voter ID with Aadhaar," it said.

For the purpose of integrating the voter ID with Aadhaar, they can also hand the completed Form-6B to the Booth Level Officer (BLO).

The CEO's office requested cooperation from the populace during the BLO's house-to-house canvassing and advised voters to phone Toll-Free No. 1950 for more details.
