20 passengers injured as bus overturns in Baghamari

Bhubaneswar: According to reports, a traffic accident in the Khurda district of Odisha on Sunday left more than 20 passengers hurt.
Sources claim that in the morning, a private bus travelling from Banki to Bhubaneswar was carrying about 30 people. The bus's driver lost control of the steering as it neared a settlement on the Baghamari-Simor road, causing the vehicle to go off the road.
The passengers were trapped inside as the bus fell into a pond. Local residents, police, and firefighters all assisted in saving the passengers. The accident injured about 20 passengers, who were taken by ambulance to the district hospital in Khurda.
To determine what caused the collision, the police have opened an investigation and filed a case. Fortunately, according to eyewitnesses, the bus plunged inside a nearby pond, saving the passengers from major harm.
