5 Caught up in Odisha's Kalahandi For Job Fraud

Kalahandi: Police have arrested five people on the pretence of duping over 60 youngsters in Chudiharipada, Bhawanipatna, in the Odisha district of Kalahandi.

Sources indicate that Rs 22,000 each were stolen from these employee candidates by the culprits. When the applicants join, they are arrested at home and compelled to spread the fraud business to their customers.

On Monday, after a complaint was made at the Bhawanipatna Town Police Station, there were five people were arrested for questioning.

"We came here hopefully to have a nice work. However, they torture us. We can't go home as well. Any time we went outside, someone in the gang would join us," claimed Manish Kumar, a Bihar victim.

Soumya Ranjan had succeeded in fleeing the house from Kaktpur, in Puri, who also fell prey to the scam.

However, a firm employee, Sushant Jena, claimed only interested applicants work here and are free to go home.

Research on the subject is underway.
