Mayurbhanj: After rainwater entered the campus of Dudhiani Panchayat High School in Karanjia block late Tuesday night, the district administration rescued 47 students.
Flood water entered the school's hostel and classrooms as the water level of the Deo river in the district began to rise, according to sources.
The hostel housed 97 of the 127 students enrolled in the school. Earlier, about 50 hostel boarders had returned home.
As the school was waterlogged, the area organization protected the understudies remaining in the lodging and shielded them in Hatibari ME School.
