Puri: Six people were injured on Wednesday when the rope of Lord Balabhadra's Taladhwaja chariot snapped near Market Chhak on Grand Road during the Bahuda Yatra of the sibling deities to Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha's Puri.

The Lords began their return journey home around 1 p.m., three hours ahead of schedule, after a nine-day annual sojourn and seven-day stay at Gundicha Temple.

When the three deities arrive at the 12th-century shrine, they will spend the night on the chariots, where all the rituals will be performed.

The next day, they will appear in 'Sunabesha' (gold attire). They will enter Jagannath Temple in 'Niladri Bije' on July 1 after the 'Aadhar Pana' (special drink) ritual.
