Assistant Soil Conservator of Rayagada caught carrying ill-gotten money of Rs 5L, arrested

Bhubaneswar: Late on Sunday, Vigilance sleuths recovered alleged Rs 5 lakh ill-gotten cash from Kishor Chandra Nayak, Assistant Soil Conservation Officer, Rayagada, in Odisha's Rayagada district.

According to sources, he was apprehended while riding his motorcycle to his leased house near Aravninda School in Rayagada. In the subsequent raid, another Rs 6.3 lakh was seized from his home near Mangala Mandir, bringing the total seizure to Rs 11,34,560.

Searches are also underway at his wife's home in Patrapada Kishor Vihar, Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar, and his parents' home in Mantriguda, Nabarangpur.
