Bhubaneswar: In connection with the alleged threat call to MLA from Basta in Odisha's Balasore district, Nityananda Sahoo, two people from Jajpur have been held.
Sources claim that around 8.30 am on Tuesday, the legislator received a call from an unknown number. Three individuals had given the caller supari to kill the MLA, the caller informed the MLA.
Anjan Sahoo, the MLA's son, told the reporters, "He further informed him that he had detained the trio and requested him to fill petrol in his vehicle so that he would give them to him.
After that, the legislator notified the SP, and after tracking the cell phone, police in Jajpur district picked up the two suspects from Bada Basti within Gopalpur panchayat.
