Bus overturns after collision with hyva truck in Odisha, 25 injured

Cuttack: More than 25 passengers were injured in varying degrees on Wednesday morning after their bus toppled after colliding with a hyva vehicle in Odisha's Cuttack district.
The accident happened near Chhapolia on the Cuttack-Chandbali Road.
According to accounts, the private-run bus, which was carrying approximately 40 passengers, was traveling from Aul to Cuttack. The tragedy happened at Chhapolia when the driver lost control of the wheels and crashed with a hyva vehicle. The bus toppled as a result of the collision, injuring at least 25 people.
After being notified, police arrived on the scene and rescued the injured victims with the assistance of locals.
The injured people were taken to a local hospital. Some of the injured passengers were said to be in severe condition and were sent to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
Meanwhile, local police have opened an investigation and registered a case in this regard.
