Cattle-laden truck seized in Bhubaneswar; 60 bovines rescued

Bhubaneswar: Over 60 cattle were rescued after a truck unlawfully transporting the animals was intercepted on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Monday morning, reports stated.
A group of locals spotted and intercepted the cattle-laden vehicle near Kesura Chhak and informed the police. According to them, the truck was travelling in the direction of West Bengal when it was sighted.
After being informed, a team of police personnel reached the site and seized the vehicle. From the massive vehicle, more than 60 cattle were saved.
Locals said that the car struck a young person before attempting to speed off. The car was chased and stopped by some neighbourhood kids.
Sources stated another truck, which was accompanying the cattle-laden container, drove away after villagers gathered at the location.
The truck was seized and further investigation is in progress.
