Cyclone Gulab turned into a deep depression

Bhubaneswar: Gulab, a cyclonic storm that swept the shores of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh on Sunday night, has diminished into a deep depression, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
In a morning bulletin, the IMD stated that the deep depression over north Andhra Pradesh and adjoining south Odisha had moved westwards at a speed of 6 kmph over the last six hours and was centred over South Odisha and adjoining north Andhra Pradesh about 110 km south-southeast of Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh) and 140 km west-northwest of Kalingapatnam (Andhra Pradesh).
During the next 12 hours, it is expected to move almost westward and weaken into a depression.
Heavy rain is expected to lash south Odisha districts and certain portions of the south interior districts as a result of the deep depression, according to the Met office.
The following districts have been issued with orange and yellow warnings:
27th of September: Rainfall was heavy to extremely heavy in one or two locations over the districts of Nabarangpur, Koraput, and Malkangiri (orange warning).
Over the districts of Nuapada, Balangir, Rayagada, and Kalahandi, there has been heavy rainfall in one or two spot(yellow warning).
