Drug Racket Busted In Odisha’s Nayagarh

Nayagarh: On Tuesday, the Odisha Crime Branch's Special Task Force (STF) busted a drug ring and confiscated 3.1 kg brown sugar from a residence within the Nayagarh Town police limits.
The STF searched a residence on Udaya Lane in Sinduria this morning after receiving a tip about the alleged sale and possession of illicit brown sugar and weapons.
K Vickey Rao of Rajabazar in Khurda district was detained, and police seized Rs 65.32 lakh, three 7 mm handguns, seven magazines, 43 rounds of 7 mm ammunition, one currency note counting machine, four cellphones, and a tablet from his home.
A case has been filed under the NDPS Act's Section 21(c)/29 and the Arms Act's Section 25/27. Rao's case will be taken to court.
