Bhadrak: A girl student was allegedly pushed into a car and abducted in the Mahulia area of Odisha's Bhadrak district's Chandbali police limits.

Despite the fact that the event occurred on August 19, the girl's family claims that authorities have yet to rescue her.

The girl is the daughter of Gourahari Panda of Ugratara village, according to sources. Miscreants snatched her from Mahulia Square while she was returning home after attending Chandbali tuition.

On August 19, her family members filed a complaint with Chandbali police.

“For the past ten days, my daughter has been missing. She had contacted me two days prior. She was inconsolably screaming and said that her kidnappers were abusing her. They are pressuring her to say that she accompanied them voluntarily. The cops aren't doing anything about it, according to the girl's mother.

“A car came from Bhadrak side, a man jumped out of the vehicle and forcibly pulled the girl inside the car and fled,” said Satyabrata Parida, an eyewitness.

IIC Karunakar Rout of the Chandbali police station, on the other hand, said that he spoke with the girl over the phone and that she assured him that she will be at the police station in two to three hours.

“Police have obtained the incident's CCTV footage and began a search for the kidnappers. On the basis of her parents' missing complaint, a case has also been opened,” he added.
