Bhubaneswar: A complaint has been filed against five people involved in the Kangaroo court incident, in which a young girl was allegedly tied to a house pillar and brutally thrashed in broad daylight in Odisha's capital.

The video of the incident, which occurred on Monday night at Jagannath Leprosy colony within the Mancheswar police jurisdiction, has gone viral. After receiving information about the incident, police rescued the girl and registered a case, taking suo moto cognizance of the situation.

According to sources, deep injury marks were discovered on the girl's hand and body.
