Sambalpur: On Wednesday, range workers recovered a leopard that had fallen into a well near Hindol ghat in the Charamala range in Odisha's Sambalpur district after a rescue operation including police and Rairakhol fire personnel.
The leopard, according to sources, fell into the well last night. Around 8 a.m., some people heard its grunting roar and alerted the local police and Charmal range office. To keep the kitty afloat, a wooden plank connected to a rope on both ends was dropped into the well. After that, a wooden ladder was lowered. The leopard climbed out of the well by hopping on it.
