Bhubaneswar: According to the India Meteorological Department on Wednesday, Odisha is projected to see a steady decline in minimum temperature over the next three to four days due to the current dry weather.

According to the mid-day bulletin, the minimum temperature will not fluctuate significantly in most regions during the next three days. However, the temperature will drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next two days.

Similiguda was the coldest last night, with a temperature of 12.8 degrees Celsius, followed by G Udayagiri in Kandhamal district with a temperature of 13.4 degrees Celsius, Koraput and Boudh with temperatures of 14 degrees Celsius each, and Daringbadi with a temperature of 14.5 degrees Celsius.

This morning, severe fog reduced visibility to 100 metres in Phulbani, affecting vehicular movement. Similarly, Balangir received considerable fog, while Angul, Bhawanipatna, and Paralakhemundi experienced shallow fog.

A low-pressure area that is expected to form over the southwest Bay of Bengal off the coast of Sri Lanka in the next 24 hours would have little effect on the state, according to the weatherman.
