Minister Rita Sahu Faces Egg Attack from BJP in Bargarh, Six Arrested

Bargarh: In the Padampur subdivision of the Bargarh district on Wednesday, BJP youth workers allegedly threw eggs and waved black flags at Rita Sahu, the minister for Odisha's handlooms, textiles, and handicrafts.
In relation to the event, at least six Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) members were detained.
According to sources, the Minister was visiting the Paikamal section of the district to attend events at multiple schools when her convoy came under egg attack.
Sahu was her route to Nrusinghanath SSD High School after attending a transformation programme at Jamuna Kandhuni High School when she allegedly saw black flags being waved by BJP youth wing members in Tehsil Chhak. In addition, eggs were thrown at her convoy.
Along with hurling the eggs, the protesters yelled insults at the Minister, including "Go back."
After receiving information, local police showed up at the scene and increased security. Six people were were taken into custody for allegedly being involved in the event.
