Naveen Patnaik undertakes aerial survey of flood-hit areas
Bhubaneswar: On Thursday, Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik conducted an aerial inspection of the flood-affected areas. For all those who have been evacuated and are being sheltered in shelters, he announced aid measures, including cooked and dried meals.
The Chief Minister's officer has stated that the flood victims will receive assistance for the next 15 days (CMO). In the districts of Khordha, Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, and Kendrapara, the Chief Minister made an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas.
In accordance with State Disaster Relief Fund guidelines, the CM also offered house damage aid. Within 15 days, collectors will take action to assess the damage to the house, and in the following seven days, they will disperse the aid.
The CM also declared help for the next seven days for the flood-affected districts of Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, and Angul.
Notably, the flood scenario has already affected around 4.67 lakh people in 10 districts as a result of the State's excessive rains.
Over 4.67 lakh people in 10 districts have been impacted by the severe rains and ensuing flood, leaving over 2.5 lakh people stranded in 425 villages.
