Odisha Assembly adjourned till 11.30 am over BJB girl suicide issue

Bhubaneswar: After members of the Odisha Legislative Assembly caused a scene in the House over the murder of a girl student at BJB College in Bhubaneswar, the House was postponed until 11:30 am on Monday.
Congress and BJP MLAs rushed to the Well when the House met and shouted at the Speaker during Question Hour to get his attention.
The Speaker advised the members of the opposition to bring up the subject at Zero Hour rather than Question Hour.
The Speaker adjourned the House till 11.30 a.m. while chaos persisted.
In the meantime, since Sunday night, the parents of Ruchika Mohanty, who was discovered hanging inside the college dormitory on Saturday, have been holding a demonstration in front of the campus to seek justice for their daughter.
