Ollywood singer Shakti Mishra critical, seeks for financial help
Bhubaneswar: Shakti Mishra, a well-known Odia singer who has been diagnosed with Multiple Organ Dysfunction Syndrome (MODS), has requested immediate financial assistance for his treatment.
Shakti was brought to KIMS Hospital after experiencing blood vomiting (Haematemesis), and his condition deteriorated to the point where he needed to be transferred to the ICU last month.
He stated in a video message that physicians told him he needed heart and liver operations after he recovered from his initial therapy. Both procedures can be done at the same time, he added.
The therapy facilities will cost roughly Rs 30 lakh and will be offered in New Delhi, Chennai, and Hyderabad. He said his family has chosen to take him to New Delhi, and that Bollywood actor Anubhav Mohanty has promised to take care of everything.
“In the last month, my family has already spent Rs 4 lakh on diagnostics and several testing. We are currently unable to secure the complete cash required for the pricey treatment,” he stated.
“I am pleading with my well-wishers and the people of Odisha for immediate financial assistance because the doctors have advised me to have surgery in the second week of next month,” he added.
Dibyajyoti Mishra, the singer's son, can be reached on his cell phone at 9861049180 for assistance.
Mishra, a Dhenkanal native, rose to prominence as a playback singer in the 1990s. He has provided his voice to over 25 films and a number of CDs.
