Physical Classes for class IX students to start from August 16

Bhubaneswar: On Thursday, the Odisha government decided to allow physical classes for Class IX students across the state starting August 16.

According to the Department of School and Mass Education, government, government-aided, and private educational institutions in Class-IX will reopen on August 16th.

“The teaching hour for Class-IX students will be from 9 am. to 12.30 pm, excluding Sundays and public holidays. The students are allowed to attend classes either on online mode or offline mode in consultation with their parents,” School and Mass Education Department said. 

Students in offline mode are not required to attend class. The preceding SoP should be rigorously observed. According to a notice from the department, hostels for Class-IX students will begin functioning on August 16, and the department's SoP will apply when launching hostels for Class-IX students.
