Bhubaneswar: One lakh dairy farmers in Odisha received special COVID assistance worth Rs 11 crore from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

“Over Rs 2,000 crore has been placed in the accounts of small shops, small farmers, and Mission Shakti members,” Naveen remarked.

He went on to say that the state government offers a lot of programmes for dairy farmers.

It's worth noting that OMFED milk is produced by 3,600 milk production cooperatives and 2.83 lakh dairy producers in the state. There are 1,292 women's cooperatives in operation, and 1.5 lakh women farmers contribute to milk production.
