Senior IFS officer Debidutta Biswal appointed as Odisha's new PCCF
Bhubaneswar: Senior IFS officer Debidutta Biswal has been nominated by the Odisha government as the next Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force (HoFF).
The appointment happened after PCCF Sisir Kumar Ratho, the previous PCCF, retired.
According to a statement from the General Administration department, Biswal will take over as PCCF as soon as he accepts the promotion.
Since July 2020, the IFS officer from the 1988 batch has been the director of mines. Additionally, he has held the positions of member secretary of the Odisha State Pollution Control Board and Special Secretary in the department of forests and the environment.
