Malkangiri : A guy raped his mentally retarded daughter and impregnated her in a horrific event in the district. He was taken into custody on the mother of the girl.
Sources indicate that the girl's relatives in the village belonging to Malkangiri Sadar police boundaries kept her in the house in view of her instability.
On the days when other members of the family stayed away, her dad used her sexually. The wife of the father and other members of the family didn't know till the girl got unwell. Her mother brought her to the local hospital where she had been proven to have been pregnant for six months.
He threatened to murder her when the wife of the man questioned him on the matter. She then approached the issue and filed a complaint with the police on their recommendation to other family members.
The police started an investigation and detained the man on Wednesday in response to the allegation. The victim girl was transported to the hospital and the report is pending, said Ram Prasad Nag, police station for Malkangiri.
