Two Odisha Teachers To Be Felicitated By President on Sept 5

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has two schoolteachers among the 44 recipients of the National Awards to Teachers for 2021.

Ajit Kumar Sethy, the acting headteacher of Government UPS Kanamana in Chhatrapur, Ganjam, and Ashok Kumar Satpathy, an assistant teacher at Zilla Government School in Bhadrak, are the two individuals.

On Wednesday, the Department of School Education and Literacy of the Union Ministry of Education released the list of selected teachers from around the country.

Apart from Odisha, two teachers each came from Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Sikkim, Bihar, Gujarat, and Rajasthan.

Two teachers from Delhi's Bal Bharati Public School Dwarka and Rajasthan's Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Jhunjhunu were chosen from CBSE schools. A teacher from Eklavya model residential school in Karpawand, Bastar, Chhattisgarh, is also on the list.

The 44 honorees will be honoured during a ceremony on September 5 in which President Ram Nath Kovind will present them with their awards.
