Youth stabbed, critically injured in Nabarangpur town

Nabarangpur: In the town of Nabarangpur in Odisha, a little kid was critically injured after being stabbed by two teenagers because of a long-standing rivalry.

According to sources, the victim, identified as 14-year-old B Srinivas of Mangaraj Sahi in the town, reportedly fought with the two attackers over a minor matter about a year ago. They stabbed Srinivas with a knife in the morning in Keuta Sahi Square because they had a hatred against him.

Srinivas was bleeding severely when a local hurried him to the town's closest hospital. His status was stable after treatment, according to hospital sources. However, he has been moved to Koraput's Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital for additional care.

After being alerted, a team from the Nabarangpur police station visited the hospital and took Srinivas' testimony about the incident. Sai of Medri Sahi in the town was one of the attackers, according to him. Additional research is being done.
