CBI Arrests Rourkela HPO Assistant Postmaster and Postal Agent in Bribery Case

The assistant postmaster was apprehended by a 10-member team from Bhubaneswar. Bimal Kumar Muduli, a postal agent, was also arrested in this case.
According to a source, Behera demanded Rs 2 lakh and accepted a bribe of Rs 50,000 from one Prabhasini Sutar via the agent Muduli to allow her to withdraw Rs 8 lakh from her own postal account for her husband's accidental death claim.
The assistant postmaster demanded Rs 2.5 lakh at first, but later settled for Rs 2 lakh.
Following the arrests, a CBI team led by DSP Dibakar Nanda and Inspector AK Nanda conducted raids on locations associated with Behera and Muduli.
