Bhubaneswar: During raids in Bhubaneswar, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) detained a guy and found 2.465 kg of foreign-marked smuggled gold in the form of biscuits and bars.

According to one officer, the raids were carried out at numerous locations in Bhubaneshwar based on particular intelligence.

"Investigations revealed that the gold was smuggled into the country illegally." As a result, it has been seized, and one individual has been arrested in accordance with the requirements of the Customs Act," the officer was cited as saying by media.

The accused was brought before a local court, which sentenced him to fourteen days in judicial prison after the official said that additional interrogation was not required.

Further inquiry into the problem is being conducted.
