Jagatsinghpur: On Monday, a girl died and four others, including her parents, were critically injured as a result of electrocution in a village in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district.
The incident occurred in Balisahi, which is under the jurisdiction of the district's Kujanga police station. Ranu Behera of Balisahi has been identified as the deceased.
According to sources, Ranu first came into contact with a live electric wire, after which her parents, elder brother, and a neighbor attempted to save her. They were, however, critically injured as a result of the electrocution.
While Ranu was said to have died on the spot, the injured were rushed to Kujanga Hospital for treatment. One of them was later transferred to the Jagatsinghur District Hospital.
