A female lecturer was arrested for allegedly taking an examination on behalf of a student at Udala Luipa Degree Mahavidyalaya in Radho, Mayurbhanj district, Odisha.

Bhubaneswar: A female lecturer was arrested for allegedly taking an examination on behalf of a student at Udala Luipa Degree Mahavidyalaya in Radho, Mayurbhanj district, Odisha.

Tulika Ashe, a lecturer in the institution's Odia department, has been identified as the accused.

According to sources, she took the Zoology department's fourth-semester examination on July 27 and signed the answersheet as an examination invigilator.

On August 8, after the incident became public, the college principal issued a show-cause notice to the lecturer. She, on the other hand, threatened the principal with dire consequences, prompting the latter to file a complaint with Udapa police.

On the basis of the complaint, police opened an investigation and arrested the lecturer.
