Cuttack: On Monday, a man died and his wife was critically injured when their car crashed into the Taladanda canal in Cuttack, Odisha.
According to Soruces, the accident occurred on the Matrubhaban-Nayabazar road when the car lost its balance and fell into the canal. The vehicle carried two people.
A team of local residents, firefighters, and police officers rescued both occupants of the car. Both were airlifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital. The precise circumstances under which the car skidded off the road and into the canal are unknown.
The man driving the car, on the other hand, was declared dead at the hospital, while the woman is being treated. Her condition was described as critical.
Gyanendra Jena of Kandarpur was identified as the deceased, while his wife Anjana is in critical condition.
