Naba Das’ Daughter Dipali Das Falls Victim to Cyber Fraud

Bhubaneswar: Dipali Das, the daughter of Odisha Health Minister Naba Kishore Das, is said to have been duped out of Rs 1.5 lakh by cyber fraudsters.
She filed a complaint with the Ainthapalli police station in Sambalpur district on Monday, alleging that Rs 1.5 lakh was withdrawn from her account in two transactions. "I received two SMSes on my registered mobile number on Sunday last about Rs 1,00,000 and Rs 50,000 being debited from my account with the Ainthapalli branch of the ICICI Bank. "I did not make these withdrawals, and I did not share my bank account information with anyone," the complaint stated.
She is accused of receiving an OTP from an unknown number but not sharing it with anyone.
Dipali has already approached her bank's management and requested police assistance in recovering the lost funds.
Meanwhile, Ainthapalli police have filed a case under Sections 419 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code, as well as Sections 66(C) and 66(D) of the Information Technology Act 2000.
