Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi attended a BJP-RSS meeting to evaluate the party's performance.

BHUBANESWAR: Before the two-day extended state executive committee meeting of the BJP in Puri, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi participated in a coordination meeting of the party with senior functionaries of the RSS on Thursday.
The meeting was significant as the Sangh assessed the performance of the BJP government after it came to power in the state. With the new government having been in office for over a month, the party presented a report card of its performance and the 100-day agenda of the government to the Sangh, according to sources.
The party also discussed the plan of action to fulfill the promises made in the election manifesto. The day-long meeting included a detailed discussion on holding simultaneous elections to the Assembly and Lok Sabha. The leaders of the party wanted to understand why the BJP could not win more Assembly seats when it almost swept the parliamentary constituencies, winning 20 out of 21 seats.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) played a crucial role in the BJP's astounding success in the elections. The Sangh deployed its leaders in all districts and closely monitored the entire election process. Before the polls, national BJP general secretary (organisation) BL Santhosh, national general secretary Sunil Bansal, and other top party officials held a series of meetings with Sangh leaders to strategize for the election. They discussed organizational issues in the BJP, post-government formation plans for party workers, and other related matters. National assistant general secretaries of RSS Arun Kumar and Ram Dutt Chakradhar, along with other senior state RSS functionaries, were present for these discussions.
