A 19-year-old tribal woman was reportedly raped in Odisha's Malkangiri district, as per the police. The incident took place in the Motu police station area on Saturday while her village was occupied with Durga Puja celebrations. The police complaint was filed on Sunday.
The alleged perpetrator, a 26-year-old man, is currently evading authorities. According to a police officer, the incident occurred while the woman, who had lost her mother some years ago, was alone at home as her father was out fishing.
