Two held for trying to sell leopard skin in Kandhamal
The Odisha Crime Branch STF arrested a man and his nephew while they were allegedly plotting to sell a leopard skin in Khajuripada village, Kandhamal district, under the jurisdiction of the Khajuripada police station.
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Crime Branch STF arrested a man and his nephew while they were allegedly plotting to sell a leopard skin in Khajuripada village, Kandhamal district, under the jurisdiction of the Khajuripada police station.
Sujit Rajaswadip and Dhananjay Behera of Arapaju village have been identified.
While a case (8/2023) has been filed under Sections 379, 411, 120(B) of the IPC and Section 51 of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972, officials said the skin will be sent to the Director WII, Dehradun, for biological examination.
