Paradip: The mystery surrounding the unclaimed bag that caused alarm among employees and workers at Indian Oil Corporation Limited's (IOCL) Paradip oil refinery has been solved.

According to sources, the suitcase was discovered on Tuesday morning within the high-security IOCL facilities. Soon after, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel stopped the road and asked residents to flee the vicinity to help with the investigation, amid worries of a bomb detonation at the IOCL site.

Police were also rushed to the scene, and a dog squad was called in to aid with the search for explosives. The suitcase was eventually discovered to contain simply a hammer, paper, and numerous other stuff. An IOCL employee, identified as Debabrat Panda, had left this bag in front of the main gate after security staff denied him admission on Monday night, according to Rajkishore Behera, IIC of Abhyachandpur police station.

Panda, an IOCL radiographer, was questioned by police and eventually freed, he said.
