Woman Raped In Gym After Being drugged in Cuttack

Cuttack: A girl was allegedly drugged and raped by a trainer at a gymnasium in Odisha's Cuttack city's CDA-sector-9 police limits, and she was later blackmailed with obscene photos to maintain physical intimacy with him.
Despite the fact that the incident occurred in March of last year, a complaint was filed at the Markat Nagar police station on Saturday.
The complainant stated that she made contact with gym owner Chinmay Swain in January 2022. He proposed to her a month later, and they began an affair. Chinmay raped her and spiked her bottle of'refreshment drink' on March 16, 2022. After she regained consciousness, the accused asked her not to tell anyone about the incident and promised to marry her.
Later, he threatened to go viral if she didn't maintain physical intimacy with him.
The accused, according to the victim, recorded their intimate moments in various other locations. She also accused him of assaulting and attempting to murder her after she visited his home.
In the complaint, she also names his mother as an accomplice in the crime.
Police have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage from the gym.
