Bhubaneswar: On Thursday morning, Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and Dharmendra Pradhan arrived in the Odisha capital.

They would fly from Biju Patnaik International Airport to Jagannath Temple in Puri, according to sources.

Later, the Union ministers will participate in the 'Jan Aashirwad Yatra' and attend a news conference.

Vaishnaw maintained his official Twitter account updated during his visit to Odisha, from boarding the plane in New Delhi until arriving in Bhubaneswar. All of the tweets are in Odia as well.

This, coupled with his swearing-in in Odia in the Upper House in 2019 and invoking Jagannath after being sworn in as a Cabinet minister, is seen as an attempt to demonstrate his dedication to Odisha, where he is not a native.

Former bureaucrat-turned-politician Rajashthan is a 1994-batch Odisha cadre IAS officer.

Vaishnav would travel to Rayagada in the evening on the Hirakhand Express and visit Koraput the next day, according to BJP State General Secretary Golak Mohapatra, who spoke to the media earlier. On August 21, the Union Minister will travel to Jeypore and Nabarangpur before arriving in Bhawanipatna on August 22.

Vaishnav will board a train from Balangir on August 22 and arrive in Bhubaneswar.

From August 19 to 22, Dharmendra will perform in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Khurda, according to him.

The Union Ministers will travel 419 kilometres and hold events in 115 locations throughout six Parliamentary constituencies and seven districts, according to party sources.

The main goal of the show, according to Mohapatra, is to bring the many programmes of Prime Minister Modi's government to the public.
