BWF Para Badminton World Championships: Pramod Bhagat Wins Gold
Tokyo: Pramod Bhagat, the champion para shuttler from Odisha, won gold for India in the BWF Para Badminton World Championships in Tokyo.
On Sunday, Bhagat successfully defended his god medal in men's singles SL3 at the international event, defeating Nitesh Kumar in straight games. He won his fourth singles gold medal in 53 minutes, defeating Kumar 21-19, 21-19.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik hailed the state's ace para shuttler on his World Championship victory.

With this, the Indian Para Badminton Team won two gold medals, two silver medals, and twelve bronze medals at the BWF Para Badminton World Championships, which began on November 1.
On Saturday, Bhagat defeated Japan's Daisuke Fujihara 22-20, 21-14 to advance to the BWF Para Badminton World Championships men's singles SL3 finals.
