Bike hits oil tanker on Cuttack outskirts; 2 burnt alive

Cuttack: Two teenagers were killed when the motorcycle they were riding caught fire late Monday near the Kandarpur toll gate on the Cuttack-Paradip road.

The deceased's identity has yet to be determined.

According to sources, the accident occurred around 2 a.m. when the bike collided with a concrete mixer parked along the road on their way to Paradip from Tirtol in the Jagatsinghpur district. The bike caught fire as a result of the collision, leaving them critically injured.

They were apprehended by Kandarpur police and taken to Cuttack's SCB Medical College and Hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead.

Police seized the bike and concrete mixer, and an investigation is currently underway.
