CM Evaluates Rath Jatra Preparation
Bhubaneswar: During the forthcoming Annual Chariot Festival of the Trinity in Puri, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik warned the public about the Covid-19 Pandemic.
He remarked that, like the previous year, the celebration of Lord Jagannath and his siblings will be conducted in an unprecedented scenario, as he reviewed the preparations for the world-famous Rath Jatra on July 12.
“Kalia Thakur will be seen all over the world on television and social media. So the Lord’s rituals needs to be completed on time. In addition, the Covid rule must be followed properly during the rituals,” he said.
Despite the fact that the second wave of Covid was waning, the Chief Minister stated that the threat was still present.
“I pray to Mahaprabhu for a pleasant finale to the Rath Jatra this year,” Patnaik said, praising everyone involved for the festival's success last year.
Notably, the festival's preparations are nearing completion.
Minister of Health and Family Welfare Nabkishore Das, who attended the meeting, said that special provisions had been made for health treatment during the rath yatra.
“All tests are in place for the service and all relevant officials, including the Covid test, vaccination, First Aid centers, Ambulances, medical aid posts and the Puri General Hospital,” he said.
