Sambalpur: On Saturday, Minister of Education of the Union, Dharmendra Pradhan, announced Bhaima Bhoi Research Chairs will be set up at various institutions across the country.
Pradhan said the ministry will do its utmost to do study on the life of the renowned poet at the world level, honouring Bhima Bhoi, an eminent 19th-century poet at Rairakhol in Sambalpur District.
He proposed that UGC do significant research on Mahima Dharma's ideology and integrate it in a graduate curriculum programme.
"Today, the whole world should follow the Santha kabi Bhima Bhoi ideology." The Minister stated. It would be a tremendous compliment for the big philosopher to include his concept and philosophy in his course curriculum."
On the wall of the UN Hall in several languages has been written the famous saying of Santha Kabi "who seen the great number of plagues that one may face on earth; let the world be redeemed at my expense."
In 2019, Gangadhar Meher University (GM U) established up a Bhima Bhoi Research Chair.
Bhima Bhoi was a Saint and philosopher, the famous poet of the 19th century. The fundamental topic of his lyrical compositions was humanity and freedom of the planet.
