Koraput: Despite Andhra Pradesh's charges against the border region, Kotia in the Koraput district of Odisha is again making headlines. but for a completely different cause.
A Royal Bengal Tiger was spotted in the Andhra Pradesh forests close to the Odisha border, raising a high alert in Kotia and the surrounding villages. The villagers have been instructed not to leave their houses unaccompanied.
There have been tales of a stray tiger moving around in the Andhra Pradesh forests not too far from the Kotia and Kaspavalasa border. Both of the local forest departments are doing an exercise in necessary awareness. Abdaal M Akhtar, the Koraput Collector, tweeted that there was no reason for alarm.
According to media sources, the tiger was recently seen within 75 km of villages in Kotia and was currently wandering within 35 km of Kotia after travelling 60–70 km each day.
Similarly, after a bullock was purportedly killed by a leopard on Saturday night, panic has spread to Khaira village in Nuapada district, which is located under Boden block.
