Balasore: During raids on the properties of Jaleswar BDO Ashwini Kumar Das on Saturday, sleuths discovered two palatial buildings worth Rs 1.22 crore and Rs 1.1 crore, as well as 24 plots in prime locations in Cuttack and Kendrapada districts, for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Six locations are being searched, according to an official statement.
1) A two-story building in Jhinkiria, Sri Krishna Vihar, Cuttack district, near Bayalisamouza.
2) A three-story building in Kalapada, Cuttack, near Bayalisamouza.
3) Office at Jaleswar, Balasore district, Block Office
4) Jaleswar, Balasore district, government residential quarter
5) His wife Jyotirmayee Sahoo's office at Govt Press, Khapuria, Cuttack
6) House of a relative in Bhuinpur village, Kendrapda district
The Vigilance sleuths also discovered a brick factory in Kalapada, four four-wheelers (Skoda-Rapid Active, Innova, Scorpio, and Nano), three two-wheelers, Rs 1.7 lakh in cash, 330 gm gold, and 1.1 kilogramme silver coins.
