Students thank CM for safe evacuation from Ukraine
Bhubaneswar: Several students from Odisha have expressed gratitude to the state government and chief minister Naveen Patnaik for assisting them in safely returning to India from the war-torn Ukraine.
The kids conveyed their gratitude through social media on the day of their departure from various locations around Ukraine. "My deepest appreciation from myself and my fellow friends to our CM Naveen Patnaik Sir for evacuating Odisha students from Kharkiv by a special bus in this critical war circumstances," Jyoti Prakash Behera, a first-year student at Kharkiv National Medical University, stated. We are grateful to CM for taking such a risk and evacuating us."
"I was stranded in this terrible situation and was urgently waiting for the evacuation," said Ritu Parna Rout, a student at the same university. Nobody, not even the External Ministry or the Embassy, helped us. However, our chief minister, Naveen Patnaik Sir, assisted us by providing the bus and covering all expenditures. We appreciate your assistance tremendously."
"I am grateful to the Odisha government, particularly Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Ravikanth sir, the resident commissioner of Odisha, who monitored and assisted us during this difficult time." They even provided us with proper food and lodging," wrote Aakanksha Mallick, a Kharkiv University student.
The students were transported to Lviv by two buses from their university, where they would take a special flight to India.
